We designed and hand painted new lettering and red lion pictorials for this historic country pub in Northamptonshire. The pub underwent a full external refurbishment including re-rendering in lime render with a traditional limewash finish, onto which we used breathable Keim mineral paint which works with the lime based finishes and allows the whole wall to ‘breathe’ moisture. We also carried out a full refurbishment of the large circular hanging sign, stripping off the layers of vinyl and hand painting our new designs to both sides.
